The Four Sacred Shrines of the Chardham Yatra
- 1. Yamunotri (Yamuna River) :
The starting point of the Chardham Yatra, Yamunotri is dedicated to the Goddess Yamuna, the river that is revered for its purifying powers.
The shrine is located in the stunning surroundings of the Bandarpunch Mountain range. Pilgrims visit the Yamunotri Temple, where they perform ritual

Gangotri is the second stop of the Chardham Yatra, and it is dedicated to Ganga Mata (Mother Ganga), the holiest of rivers in Hinduism. The temple, located on the banks of the Bhagirathi River, is the spot where the river is believed to have descended to Earth from the heavens.

- 3. Kedarnath (Lord Shiva) :
Kedarnath is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Kedarnath Temple stands at a majestic height,
surrounded by snow-covered peaks, making it one of the most awe-inspiring sites in the country. The temple, believed to be over a thousand years old, draws millions of devotees seeking Lord Shiva's divine grace.
The trek to Kedarnath is an adventure in itself, passing through dense forests, rugged terrain, and serene landscapes.
- 4. Badrinath (Lord Vishnu) :
The final destination of the Chardham Yatra, Badrinath, is dedicated to Lord Vishnu,
one of the principal deities in Hinduism. The Badrinath Temple is located along the banks of the Alaknanda
River and is an iconic pilgrimage site for devotees seeking divine blessings for a prosperous life.
The region is enveloped by stunning natural beauty and is surrounded by towering mountains.
